Connect your app
Cursor
Add Ollive to Cursor and use it in Agent chat.
Before you start
Install Cursor. You can add Ollive for every project, or for one project and everyone who works on it.
You also need an Ollive login with access to the workspace you want to use. There’s no API key to create.
Add Ollive
Add Ollive to CursorOr add it by hand. Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json to add Ollive to every project, or .cursor/mcp.json in a project to share it with your team, and add:
mcp.json
{ "mcpServers": { "ollive": { "url": "https://mcp.ollive.ai/mcp" } }}If the file already lists other servers, add ollive beside them.
Open Cursor Settings and find ollive in your MCP servers.
Select Connect. Your browser opens Ollive.
Sign in to Ollive if you’re asked. Check the app and the workspace, then select Allow. When the page says Cursor is connected, close the tab and go back to Cursor.
Check it works
In Cursor Settings, Ollive shows as connected and lists its tools. Open Agent chat and ask:
Which of my agents does Ollive monitor?
Cursor asks before it runs a tool, unless you’ve let it run tools on its own.
Troubleshooting
- Ollive shows an error: Check the URL in
mcp.json, then turn Ollive off and on in Cursor Settings. If it still fails, reload Cursor: open the Command Palette and run Developer: Reload Window. - Nothing happens after Connect: Reload Cursor and select Connect again. Keep Cursor open until the Ollive page says it’s connected.
- The agent doesn’t use Ollive: Use Agent chat, check that Ollive is turned on, and mention Ollive in your question.
- You want a different workspace: Sign out of Ollive from its menu in Cursor Settings, then select Connect and choose the other workspace.
